Switch to Solar Power, and say Good-bye to electric bills!

It is no news that Africa has been blessed with an abundance of one of the most important resources on earth - the sun. However, electricity, being a major necessity in life, is sometimes a luxury not everyone can afford. Ghana is a developing country, and even though development is rapidly increasing, there are still major hurdles in the quest to standardize the quality of life across the country. A very large number of people in rural areas in the country do not have access to electricity or water. Children are unable to study because of the lack of proper lighting, which is a result of no electricity. These same children have to compete with other privileged kids from all over the country, and the world who have the advantage of access to electricity and proper lighting. People in rural areas without electricity in Ghana have to travel for up to an hour every day to charge cellphones in order to stay in touch with the rest of the country. Healthcare and medicine in these areas is primitive due to the lack of electricity to power medical facilities. There is no access to clean, potable water as a result of the unavailability of mechanized water pumps to pump water from wells and boreholes efficiently, and water treatment systems to make this water safe to drink. These areas have simply been left in the dark, and in the primitive ages. So, we decided to step in.
